ORLANDA BROOM
Orlanda Broom studied for an MA Fine Art in Barcelona through Winchester School of Art, 1997. She lived for a long period in Portugal and then London, her studio is now based in Hampshire. Orlanda Broom is self-represented and over the past decade has been invited to show her paintings with UK and international galleries.
Large-scale commissions have included the 4x4m piece for the lobby of the new Four Seasons Downtown New York and a large abstract for the Mandarin Oriental in London.

CHRIS J. RICE
Chris J Rice is an artist and published writer based in Los Angeles, California. Having travelled extensively across The States of America since childhood (and not always on her own volition) she documents her sometimes ‘Karoacan’ adventures and traumas through painting, drawing and writing. Chris is currently writing her She Eligies.

ERIC C. BETRAND
Eric Carlos Betrand is a Canadian-Mexican painter, sculptor, conceptual artist, performance artist and a writer. He's has had solo exhibitions in Mexico, Canada, Spain, Finland, Colombia and Germany, and has received numerous production and travel grants from the Canada Council for the Arts, the Conseil des Arts et des Letters du Quebec, as well as a scholarship from the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs to complete his masters degree. He lives and works in Canada and Mexico City.
He is the founder of Cache Studio, a gallery and consulting agency focused the promotion of non represented Quebec talent.

VANESSA MURRELL
Vanessa Murrell is an art writer, curator, poet and founder of DATEAGLE ART. She has contributed to various publications including; Dazed, Flash Art, Metal, Soft Punk and Something Curated. Vanessa was born in Murcia, Spain and is based between London, England and Spain. She is also Hongxi’s studio manager, the host of Art Fictions Podcast and the Artivist of Ye Collective.

MAITHA ABDALLA
Maitha Abdalla is a multidisciplinary Emirati artist whose paintings, sculptures and performance pieces explore the themes of memory and travel.
A graduate of Zayed University and Middlesex University, Abdalla was an artist in residence and fellow at the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, the Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation and the ADMAF Visual Arts Residency Programme, amongst others.
She has had solo exhibitions in Abu Dhabi’s Warehouse421 and Dubai’s Tabari Art Space. Her work has also been exhibited within group exhibitions in London, Venice, Brussels and Sharjah. In 2015, Abdalla was the recipient of the Sheikha Manal Arts Award.

CRISTINA O’HANLON
Cristina is a creative and the director and founder of An Effort art residency in London, UK. She holds a Masters degree in Interior Design from Florence Design Academy (2013) with a thesis 'Designing places of culture in context - Khoisan.' She has worked internationally (UK, Hong Kong) in the design and fashion fields and her artwork has been featured in VOGUE Italia.
The residency was inspired by artists she has met and been inspired by. She believes artists have the unique ability to transcend language and culture to evoke something in the beneficiary. Having spent her early years in Abu Dhabi, she then spent her subsequent childhood in Namibia, South Africa and Oman.

CARRIE SCOTT
Carrie is an American/English curator, art historian, TV presenter and art writer living in London. Over the past 16 years she has worked with numerous galleries, businesses, collectors and artists worldwide. While at the University of Washington, Seattle doing a Master’s in Art History, Scott was noted curator of the Hedreen Gallery at Seattle University's Lee Center, and Director of the James Harris Gallery also in Seattle, Washington. While working with James Harris she curated the first solo show of Rashid Johnson’s work outside of Chicago. From there she went on to be Director of Nicole Klagsbrun gallery in New York.
Care has published numerous articles and essays on artists, and appeared as a presenter on The Art Show, where she interviewed artists in their studios. In 2020, Scott teamed up with David Hill, a curator and gallerist in London to present Harold Feinstein’s work, as well as a groundbreaking exhibition on West African Portraiture. In 2021, they will debut new work by Ben Hassett and Rachidi Bissiriou with two solo shows.
This episode is not to be missed.
